We went to The Smoked Taco for the first time the other night. Wowza! Both the food and service were amazing. It’s been a while since we’ve had street tacos this good, even with recently returning from a Latin country where we did Taco Thursday’s with our friends. The variety is unbelievable. Our server (the mgr?) welcomed us home with churro fries, which was definitely the icing on the cake!

The theme of these tacos is a bit confusing but it’s a fun concept! I wish they had a salsa bar for the tacos, but overall the flavors were great. Our favorite was the loaded masa fries, huge portion and great flavors.

If you told me that smoked meats and tacos were a match made in heaven, I’d have said, “You’re full of beans!” But after visiting The Smoked Taco, I’m now a believer—and possibly their biggest fan. The menu is a delightful fusion of BBQ and Mexican cuisine. I tried “The Gringo” with brisket, gringo sauce, candied jalapenos, fried onion, cotija, and cilantro, and “The Fleeing Californian” with tri-tip steak, cali sauce, roasted corn, pico de gallo, guac, cotija cheese, and cilantro. Each bite was a flavor explosion that left me questioning all my previous life choices. And let’s talk about those churro fries. Sweet masa dough fried to perfection, tossed in cinnamon sugar, and served with whipped cream and caramel sauce. They’re so good, they could probably broker world peace. The staff? Friendlier than your grandma at Thanksgiving. The atmosphere? Cozy enough to make you consider moving in. If you’re in Utah and haven’t been to The Smoked Taco, do yourself a favor and get there ASAP. Your taste buds will thank you.

Loved the gringo and the smoking pastor! Had to get a side of corn as well, love that stuff!!! Gage, the manager runs a tight ship and let us try the gluten-free churro fries. There was a big line and they cranked out our tacos at lightning speed.

Smoked Taco is excellent! Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The bird and the fleeing Californian are excellent. My wife and sister in-law are celiac and this is one of their favorite places. They are really good about cross-contamination.

We ate at Smoked Taco for the very first time. I had the OG taco and my hubby had the Gringo tacos. They were both very flavorful and delicious. The menu was quite big with many choices. The price was pretty reasonable and the service was really good as well. They helped us decide what to get since we had never been there and they didn't disappoint. We liked the way it was decorated inside. We definitely will go back again!

OK folks ... do not sleep on this place. Holy smokes the food is amazing! I took 10 people here tonight and we tried a ton of food. Everyone liked it. Loved it. The smoked meat nachos are MASSIVE and so good. And the loaded mesa fries so dang good and massive. We brisket and Fri tip on those. They are very big and can easily feed 2-3 people per loaded mesa died or smoked meat nachos. The Gringo was a favorite among the group as was the Fleeing Cal. We got the churros with Nutella strawberries and cream and they were delicious. Staff was so nice and helpful and very kind. Food delivery was so fast. Just an overall amazing place.

First time trying it and our family loved it. We ate with 6 adults and everyone was a fan! We would definitely come back. This place has great vibes and a fun menu with great tacos! I ordered the Gringo and the Hot Chick. Both were great. The gringo was loaded with brisket and yummy toppings, I would order it again. The hot chick was a unique flavor combo with the corn tortilla, fried chicken, and the hot honey. It wasn’t too spicy, I liked it! I just wish the chicken was a little bigger and more fresh. The churro fries were fun, but nothing too crazy, idk if I’d order them again. We will be coming back. Very fun restaurant, kind of reminds me of Torchy’s tacos.
